Genesis 17–21 shows four responses to God’s promises: doubt, skepticism, mocking, and redeeming joy. Through Isaac—the son of promise—we see how God transforms disbelief into faith. Ultimately, the story points to Jesus, the ultimate Son of Promise who turns sorrow into lasting joy.
