Our group meets weekly around shared snacks, fellowship, and biblical study. We are a diverse group of believers open to all ages, races, and seasons of life. Currently we are studying the bible inductively, with one Saturday off for self-study each month.

We are a ministry of single Christians age 55+.  We strive to function as a community of compassionate, understanding people with a variety of life experiences that equip us to encourage our members. We build community by strengthening our relationships with Jesus and with each other. Our purpose is to glorify God by growing together united in Christ’s love, equipping each other spiritually, emotionally, socially, and practically. We accomplish this through various Christian videos, discussion, social activities, sharing and physical assistance wherever or whenever needed. We meet for study on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month via zoom.  If you are 55+ and single, we hope you will join us as we get to know one another and build a young-at-heart senior singles Christian community.

Somos uma igreja multiétnica através da grande comissão desejamos alcançar os Brasileiros e proporcionar um ambiente de conexão, cuidado e edificação da Fé através do amor do Senhor Jesus Cristo. O Brazilian Life Group é um local de conexão e cuidado para os membros BRASILEIROS da NORTHLAND CHURCH.O objetivo deste grupo é proporcionar a comunidade brasileira um ambiente acolhedor para o seu envolvimento na comunhão do corpo de Cristo e através desse discipulado conhecerem mais o Senhor Jesus Cristo através da Bíblia Sagrada.É muito importante para o imigrante o acolhimento da igreja local, para juntos adorarmos ao Senhor e juntos auxiliarmos a comunidade brasileira a crescer em unidade.Nosso alvo é alcançar com as Boas Novas da Salvação o maior número possível de brasileiros da proximidade da Igreja Northland e em Orlando fazendo a diferença através do poder do Espírito Santo. The purpose of the Portuguese Group is to bring all people that speak Portuguese to be engaged and know Jesus Christ. It is really important for all of us, as emigrants, to worship together and help the community to grow in unity Our goal is to reach as many Brazilians as we can nearby Northland Church and across Orlando and show them the love of Jesus Christ. We are a multi-ethnic church and through the Great Commission we desire to reach out to Brazilians and provide an environment of connection, care and edification of the Faith through the love of the Lord Jesus Christ.The Brazilian Life Group is a place of connection and care for BRAZILIAN members of NORTHLAND CHURCH.The objective of this group is to provide the Brazilian community with a welcoming environment for their involvement in the communion of the body of Christ and through this discipleship to get to know the Lord Jesus Christ more through the Holy Bible.It is very important for immigrants to be welcomed by the local church, so that together we can worship the Lord and together help the Brazilian community to grow in unity.Our goal is to reach as many Brazilians as possible near the Northland Church and in Orlando with the Good News of Salvation, making a difference through the power of the Holy Spirit. This life group welcomes married couples at all phases and stages of life, from the newlyweds to 30 plus year marriages.  The objective is to use the foundation that Pastor Laxton has established through his preaching about marriage being a Godly mission and the importance of marriage to building God’s kingdom.   Topics will vary over time, but will center on building harmony in the marriage, discussing challenges that couples face at various stages and ages of their life, and collaborating with other couples on Godly solutions to those challenges.  The group will be collaborative and not instructional by nature.  The leaders will select topics but modify the path to fit the dynamics of the members of the group that attend.  We envision this group starting with a structured plan from Christian resources but evolving into much more as the group members collaborate and are led by the Spirit.

The Bible Boot Camp is a thorough, 40-week overview of the 66 books of the Bible from Genesis through Revelation. The class is conducted live-in-person in a Northland classroom and simultaneously online using Zoom. It is designed for a group of people who may be: A Christian for a short time or a long time and wants to more fully “understand the Scriptures and know the power of God”; Someone who is familiar with the great stories of the Bible, but doesn’t feel like you really know God or understand the Great Story of the Bible – “His plan from before the beginning of time”; Someone who “knows something of God from the world around you and from your own heart, and now wants to know God and find salvation” (J. I. Packer); Someone who loves the New Testament but struggles to understand how the words and ways of God in the Old Testament show that He is “filled with unfailing love” and “does not change”; Someone who wants to share “the hope that is in you,” but doesn’t feel confident in “handling the Scriptures.” In other words, the Bible Boot Camp is for all who want to know what the Bible reveals about who God is and what He has done.

On the first, second and third Tuesdays 7:15-8:30AM we meet online for Bible study (zoom link under Resources). Community of Men Tuesday Nights 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.  W128 - FAMILY ROOM  We are a men's group meeting on Tuesday nights from 6:30pm until 8:00pm. Our objective is building true friendships and growing together spiritually by following Jesus.  We’ve MOVED back to where we started….in person, on campus, in the FAMILY ROOM (formerly called the cry room), that’s on the west end of the foyer past the men’s room.    As of January 11, 2026, we're learning & discussing what’s involved in us following Jesus.  The scriptures are full of commands, observations, directions, and answers.  Our life journey is full of questions, riddles, puzzles, and challenges.  Our privilege is to delve into them with each other.   So come with what you've been reading and pondering to add to the mix.  Please join us some Tuesday night or "register" and one of us will try to get back with you.   Any questions text or call me, I do check the messages and voice mail.JT Almon, II   321-277-4505

English as a Second Language Class Level 1 is an entry-level class for non-English speaking persons who want to learn to read and speak in the English language at their own pace by watching the different videos, exercises, and tests at the end of each Chapter. The provided book contains access to the online lab and links to the cell phone app.  The group leader will guide, help, and monitor the student's progress and facilitate the completion of all exercises and online tests. La clase de inglés como segundo idioma nivel 1 es una clase de nivel inicial para personas que no hablan inglés y desean aprender a leer y hablar en el idioma inglés a su propio ritmo viendo los diferentes videos, ejercicios y pruebas al final de cada capítulo. El libro proporcionado contiene acceso al laboratorio en línea y enlaces a la aplicación para teléfono celular.  El líder de este grupo guiará, ayudara y monitoreará el progreso de los estudiantes y facilitará que los estudiantes completen todos los ejercicios y exámenes en línea.

English as a Second Language Class Level 2 is the continuation to the level 1 class and is an entry-level class for non-English speaking persons who want to learn to read and speak in the English language at their own pace by watching the different videos, exercises, and tests at the end of each Chapter. The provided book contains access to the online lab and links to the cell phone app.  The group leader will guide, help, and monitor the student's progress and facilitate the completion of all exercises and online tests. This class assumes the student already has completed the level 1 class has a basic knowledge and can name the months, family members, numbers 1-1000, and the colors in the Spanish language. La clase de Inglés como segundo idioma Nivel 2 es la continuación de la clase de nivel 1 y es una clase de nivel básico para personas que no hablan inglés y desean aprender a leer y hablar en inglés a su propio ritmo viendo los diferentes videos. , ejercicios y pruebas al final de cada capítulo. El libro proporcionado contiene acceso al laboratorio en línea y enlaces a la aplicación para teléfono celular. El líder del grupo guiará, ayudará y supervisará el progreso del estudiante y facilitará la realización de todos los ejercicios y pruebas en línea. The class is designed for advanced students, and the majority of the class and exercises are geared to practicing speaking in the English language mostly and only incidentally, the Spanish language will be used. Esta clase es para aquellos estudiantes que ya han completado los niveles 1 y 2 del cyrso o que ya pueden hablar el Inglés de una manera fluida. La clase es diseñada para estudiantes de nivel avanzado y la mayoría de ejercicios y clases son para completarse hablando el idioma Inglés principalmente y solo incidentalmente cuandop sea necesario se hablara en el idioma Español.
