Camp ToknowHim is an interdenominational Christian youth camp and retreat center near Pisgah in the mountains of northeast Alabama. Founded by a Northland couple in 2000, it has hosted Northland work teams every year since 2001. The camp currently has two facilities that can accommodate groups of 60–300+, and construction is underway on a third facility.
Northland makes a trip each spring and fall. This trip runs Sun Oct 25–Sun Nov 1, 2026, though participants are welcome to come for the full week or for as many or as few days as they are able. No construction experience is required—we can put everyone to work on a project. The trip is open to singles, couples, and adults of all ages who have a servant’s heart and want to go deeper.
Camp ToknowHim offers a meaningful short-term mission-style serving opportunity in the United States, along with a week of fellowship and practical support for the camp’s ongoing work.
Accommodations and meals are provided at camp. Participants are responsible for their own transportation, whether driving themselves or sharing carpool costs. Contributions toward meal costs are appreciated. The drive from Central Florida to Pisgah, Alabama, is about 9–10 hours. Flights are also available on Allegiant from Sanford, Florida, to Chattanooga, Tennessee, which is a little over an hour from camp.
