A Week of Microchurch Impact: Living Out God’s Love in Our Communities
This past week, several of our Microchurches stepped beyond the walls of their homes and into their neighborhoods—bringing Christ’s compassion to nursing homes, schools, and families in need. Each story reflects the heart behind Microchurches: ordinary people, empowered by God, doing extraordinary things right where they live.
Below is a glimpse of what God is doing through our Microchurch family.
Buchanan Microchurch: A Night of Joy at the Nursing Home

The Buchanan Microchurch kicked off the week with a powerful Serve Day at a local nursing home—one filled with music, conversation, tears, and unexpected holy moments.
Their goal was simple: visit 16 residents who rarely receive visitors. But God opened the door for even more connection along the way.
With Christmas carols echoing down the hallway—at the request of residents wanting Bing Crosby’s White Christmas and Silver Bells—the group delivered handmade blankets to each person. Most received them with gratitude and joy… but one woman, known for her grumpiness, wasn’t having it. She declined the blanket and didn’t want company.
As the team stepped away, carrying her in their hearts and prayers, they suddenly heard a faint voice on the other side of the curtain:
“Will you pray for me?”
There lay a frail, soft-spoken woman, hand extended, barely able to speak—yet eager for prayer not only for herself but also for her family.
What began as a simple blanket delivery became a sacred moment of intimacy and intercession.
These are the quiet miracles of Microchurch life—God showing up in the in-between spaces, in the unexpected places, through everyday people who simply make themselves available.
Buchanan Microchurch: Operation Christmas Child Packing Week

Earlier last week, the Buchanan Microchurch also partnered with Samaritan’s Purse for Operation Christmas Child, helping collect and process shoebox gifts for children around the world.
On the very first day of collection, more than 7,000 shoeboxes arrived—packed with school supplies, hygiene items, toys, and most importantly, Scripture and discipleship materials that introduce children to the hope of Jesus.
It was a joyful, energizing time of serving together—with hearts overflowing from the opportunity to play a small role in a global mission.
The Microchurch shared a heartfelt message to Pastor Josh and Matt:
“Our hearts are still overflowing with happiness and joy from the weekend! Words can’t describe the gratitude that Northland in Buchanan has for y’all. From our little congregation to yours, we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!”
Ponce Inlet Microchurch: Serving Through a Community Food Drive

Meanwhile, the Ponce Inlet Microchurch wrapped up a multi-week food drive in partnership with Harbour Village and its adopted school, RJ Longstreet Elementary.
After weeks of collecting donations, the Microchurch delivered an abundance of food to support families who are facing difficult seasons. This effort not only met tangible needs but also strengthened the ongoing relationship between the school and the local Microchurch.
Their simple act of generosity reflects the heart of Jesus—meeting practical needs while pointing people toward the One who provides all things.
Together, We Are Seeing God Move
Across cities, neighborhoods, and households, our Microchurches are living out the mission of God in beautiful, tangible ways. Whether through music in a nursing home, shoeboxes sent around the world, or bags of groceries delivered to local families, each act of love contributes to the greater story of God’s kingdom breaking into ordinary life.
As we continue into this season of gratitude, we celebrate every Microchurch, every volunteer, every moment of faithfulness—and we give thanks for the privilege of being the church together.
Thank you, Microchurch family. Let’s keep going, loving, and serving like Jesus.
