Central Florida native, Scotty Alderman, has worked at Northland in a variety of capacities since 1996, devoting the majority of that time to his role as a musician in the worship department. In hIs present role at Northland, Scotty continues to play guitar as well as plan and produce weekend services. Also during his tenure, Scotty spent nearly five years in Pastoral Care, Northland’s care and counseling wing, where he discovered a passion and aptitude for working with people in spiritual and emotional need. Because of his desire to walk alongside individuals and families in need of care, Scotty completed a Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Reformed Theological Seminary and now works primarily with married and pre-married couples at Open Doors Counseling Center — one of Northland’s two primary counseling practice partners. Scotty and his wife Kristen live in Winter Springs with their four children: Emmylou, Brenna, Fiona, and Miles, and their cute dogs, Margot and Mila. They love having fun together as a family and with dear friends.
