Central Florida native, Scotty Alderman, has worked at Northland in various capacities since 1996, devoting the majority of that time to his role as a musician in the worship department. During his tenure, Scotty spent nearly five years in Pastoral Care, Northland’s care and counseling wing, where he discovered a passion and aptitude for working with people in spiritual and emotional need. Because of his desire to walk alongside individuals and families in need of care, Scotty completed a Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Reformed Theological Seminary and now works primarily with married and pre-married couples at Open Doors Counseling Center — one of Northland’s two primary counseling practice partners. Scotty and his wife, Kristen, live in Winter Springs with their four children: Emmylou, Brenna, Fiona, and Miles, and their cute dogs, Margot and Mila. They love having fun together as a family and with dear friends.
