Hannah Jo Groves serves in Student Ministries as the worship leader. She has grown up at Northland and considers it her second home, since both her parents worked at the church full-time throughout her childhood. Hannah Jo has been singing throughout her whole life. Some of her earliest memories are singing for Northland Christmas Eve services when she was only four years old. She has gained much of her training through her mother, Laurie Groves, who worked at Northland for over 20 years, as well as working at Northland and outside of Northland with Michelle Alexander. Hannah Jo spent two years in Birmingham, Alabama at Samford University pursuing a degree in musical theatre, but moved back home in 2019 to pursue a degree in journalism/broadcasting. Northland's Student Ministry has held a special place in Hannah Jo's heart since she was 10 years old, sneaking a peek at all the middle schoolers running into the Rink for LUGrox. Her goal is to create an environment where students can put aside all other thoughts and pressures in their daily lives and worship God.
