Dede Caruso is Northland's senior graphic designer. She uses her artistic and creative eye by helping assemble and design the Northland Respond monthly newspaper, and the church's weekly Worship Guide. Dede has a degree in commercial art; however, she believes her most valuable education came from working at her brother's print shop as a teenager. During that time, her brother taught her everything from typesetting to running a press to bindery work and customer service. She ran her own freelance design business for eight years, with clients such as NASA and the Grand Canyon, Yosemite and Yellowstone National Parks. She also worked as the creative director for a large electronic accessories manufacturer for 10 years. This job moved her to Florida in 1993 from Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. Dede was drawn to Northland and to a relationship with Christ in 1998 after meeting and collaborating with Becky Hunter on ideas for the church's newspaper. Dede says her favorite thing about Northland is how she truly feels like part of a family, where she is surrounded by other creative people who are devoted to the Lord.
