A Pattern in a Prayer

Dr. Joel C. Hunter

The character of God is to take what is spiritual and manifest it into the physical. A prayer should ultimately result in something that you see - something that changes your life. Christ has given us this pattern to pray, not only for our own understanding, but for our behavior and lifestyle.

Our/Us: Our Spiritual Identity

Dr. Joel C. Hunter

Just like there is no “I” in team, there is no “I” in prayer. When Jesus taught us to pray, He taught us to think of everyone. He also made sure our focus was on Him - we all get closer by having the same focus. When we pray in this way, we begin to realize that what God has for us is so much better than what we have for ourselves.

“Give us this day our daily bread”

Dr. Joel C. Hunter

Pre-Irma Worship and Prayer Service

Dr. Joel C. Hunter, Pastor Vernon Rainwater, Pastor Matt Heard

This weekend we canceled our regularly scheduled worship services due to Hurricane Irma. Instead, we held this Saturday morning worship and prayer service ahead of the storm. We still wanted to gather together and look to scripture for peace in the midst of chaos, being still and resting in God’s enoughness.
