30 Days of Prayer

30 Days of Prayer

A Call to Prayer

“ Devote yourselves to prayer; stay alert in it with thanksgiving.”
-Colossians 4:2

A Call to Fasting: “I proclaimed a fast, so that we might humble ourselves before God and ask him for a safe journey for us and our children, with all our possessions… so we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and He answered our prayer.” -Ezra 8:21-23

NEXT 30 DAYS: October 5 to November 3, 2020
To All of us at Northland Church and beyond. What an unprecedented season we enter into these last days and weeks of 2020. From January 1 to today, the Holy Spirit continues to faithfully lead the Church here and around the world. Would you join together in praying during this time? Would you set a specific time aside each day to pray through these Scriptures and lift up the following needs to our Sovereign Creator?

MONDAY
Church: Our Elders, Pastors, Staff, Congregation, & Ministries

“I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it .” Mathew 16:18

“To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:21

TUESDAY
Elections: Register, Study the Issues, Vote, & Trust Results

“I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.” 1 Corinthians 1:10

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2

WEDNESDAY
Discipleship: Obedience to Jesus’ Great Commission

“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

2“ But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8

THURSDAY
Pastor Search Committee and Slingshot Group

“So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; [ b ] not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock.” 1 Peter 5:1-3

“Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding.” Jeremiah 3:15

FRIDAY
COVID-19: Pandemic Losses, Healing, Health Workers, & Treatment

“ Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” 1 Peter 5:8-10

SATURDAY
Families: Marriages, Children, Singles, Separated, & Divorced

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

“You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” Deuteronomy 11:18-19

SUNDAY
Our Nation, All Nations

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

“By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth. He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses. Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere him. For he spoke, 3 and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.” Psalm 33:6-12
