The week following Thanksgiving has become bigger and bigger over the course of the past several years. It started with Black Friday, then came Cyber Monday, and after that came Small Business Saturday. Each of these days are designed to get you to buy things, whether they’re gifts for others or for yourself. The most recent addition to the lineup of these post-Thanksgiving days takes a different approach.
Facebook began matching donations on Tuesday, December 3 at 8 a.m. EST. Over $2,000 had been donated to the fundraiser page before 8 a.m. on December 3. Once 8 a.m. hit, thousands of dollars of donations started rolling in. After only seven minutes, $25,000 had been donated. Not even two hours later, the goal of $50,000 had been met.
By the end of the day, over $58,000 had been donated to the fundraiser page on Facebook. Access Ministries was overjoyed by the output of love and support shown by church family at Northland on Giving Tuesday. It was truly incredible to see how God is moving in Access Ministries and in the whole congregation at Northland.
