We worship the God of Power. He is the one true God and He shows His power to us in many different ways. This weekend in children’s church, we return to the Old Testament where we learn about the prophets, beginning with Elijah. His name means “The LORD is my God.” Elijah walked, talked, and encouraged others to believe that truly the Lord was God!
When you sit at home: Age 3-Kindergarten read 1 Kings 17:1-6. Grades 1-5 read 1 Kings 18:21-39. What did God do to show Elijah his power?
When you walk along the road: What does it mean when we say the Lord is the one true God?
When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “God, thank You for all the ways You show us You are God. Help us to trust You to provide for our needs. Amen.”
When you get up: Listen to your new Bible Memory Verse Song using the links below. What is the promise God gives us in these scriptures?
“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
'Prepare to meet your God, O Israel. He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals His thoughts to man, He who turns dawn to darkness, and treads the high places of the earth— the Lord God Almighty is His name.” “Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the Lord God Almighty will be with you, just as you say He is.”
Amos 4:12b-13; 5:14
