Advent 3: Birthplace of the King (December 16-18)
This week we celebrate the story of Jesus’ birth.
When you sit at home: Read Luke 2:1-7. Why did God send Jesus to earth?
When you walk along the road: Jesus deserved to be treated like a king, but instead He came to earth as a baby born in a manger in the little town of Bethlehem. How does it make you feel that God sent Jesus for you?
When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Thank You, Lord, for sending Your Son to Bethlehem and to the whole world. Amen.”
When you get up: Jesus gave up everything to come to earth as a baby so He could one day die on the cross and save us from our sins. Our Bible memory verses remind us of the sacrifice Jesus made and why. Memorize your verse so you can remember why we celebrate Christmas.
