Abram (August 10-11)
We worship the God who provides all we need. This weekend in children's church, we are learning about Abram. We are reminded to trust and obey God’s direction when He asks us to follow Him.
When you sit at home: Read Genesis 12:1-8 with your family. How did Abram trust God to show him where to go? When have you been willing to trust God and follow Him?
Ages 4-K Whisper Verse: “Let us go.”
When you walk along the road: When have you or your family moved to a new home or city, changed schools, or made another big change? How can you help each other to remember to trust God in those situations?
When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “God, thank You for all You have given us and for providing for us. Help us trust and obey You as Abram did. Amen.”
When you get up: As a family, make plans to visit a place you have never been. You could go to a park, a restaurant, or a place where your family can serve such as a nursing home, soup kitchen, or pet shelter. What do you need to know or bring with you? How do you feel about going to a place that is new?
