Repurposing Sunday Evening
Beginning on April 30, we will make some changes for Sunday evenings which reflect the growing needs of our congregation. Due to the desire for additional spiritual growth opportunities, we will repurpose our Sunday 5 p.m. service. Beginning on Sunday, April 30, we will no longer gather for regular worship services at 5 p.m.; instead, we ask that you join us for worship in Longwood at one of our other services: Saturday, 5 p.m., Sunday, 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., and Monday, 7 p.m.
In the very near future, Sunday evenings at Longwood will become a launching point for the intentional pursuit of disciple making. Seminars, classes and gatherings will be offered for those who are new to Northland, those who are pursuing deeper spiritual growth, and those who are serving/leading throughout our church community. To be specific, keep an eye out for Belong (for those exploring Northland), Doulos (for those serving as leaders in our community), and a variety of other courses.
Online worship on Sundays at 5 p.m. will continue for a time, broadcasting a service from earlier in the weekend and hosted by a live, online minister.
It was only after much prayer and deliberation that we reached this decision. We know that this change will have the greatest impact on our Sunday night congregation. Over the coming weeks, we hope to help all who are affected by this change to transition smoothly to another service time. Join us in continuing to pray that the Lord would be glorified in and through Northland as we embrace our future together.
