Middle School Spring Retreat 2018

Geoff Hensley

This weekend, our middle school students will be off to a life-changing, high-energy experience at the annual spring retreat. While camping at Southwind, they will play epic games and meet zany characters. This retreat is always such a blast! Participants will also have the chance to cultivate lasting relationships and to worship -- with each other and with awesome leaders -- as they discover who God truly is and what He has done.

Matt Williamson, one of our Lake County ministers, will speak to how we sometimes wrestle with who we are -- and who we pretend to be. Our goal is to challenge our campers to think about the masks they may choose to wear as they journey through life and, ultimately, how they can let God shape their identity.

We have 124 middle school students joining us from Longwood, Oviedo, and the Lake County campus, plus another nearly 90 high school and adult volunteers who will help make this weekend a success.

Will you take a moment to pray for this trip and all that God will reveal? Some students will make the decision to follow Christ for the first time. Some will recommit their lives to pursuing Christ. Yet another group will be inspired to return home to share the Gospel with others. As you pray, also remember our high school servant leaders and our adult volunteers who will be building genuine relationships with these students on this extraordinary weekend.
