July in Children’s Ministries

Northland Children's Ministries

Volunteer of the Month
Mike Doyle

Mike Doyle serves faithfully as he greets the children with a warm smile and calm presence. He has a great desire to see them learn the truth of God’s Word in ways they can understand and remember while having lots of fun. Seeing his friendly smile each week brightens all of our mornings. We thank God for you and the example you model, Mike!

Why Did You Draw That?
We learned through Paul’s letters that the body of Christ is made of different parts uniting to serve and point others to Jesus. (1 Corinthians 12:12, 17-18, 26-27)

WHAT’S HAPPENING

Healing Hearts Club
Do you have a child age 9-13 that has experienced a traumatic event such as the loss of a loved one, divorce, abuse, or other traumatic event that has had a significant impact on their life? Children who have experienced such trauma can go on to develop long-term mental health difficulties, not only causing considerable distress but also compromising their educational and social potential. The week of July 23rd, Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. To request an intake interview, CLICK HERE.
If you would like more information please contact healinghearts@northlandchurch.net.

Thank You for Your Offerings!

Our May offering in Children’s Church and Praise Time was donated to send soft stuffed animals to Syrian children in refugee camps in Lebanon. These animals play our 60 Bible Memory Verses in the children’s language - Arabic. To add to our offering, in the foyer after services on April 28-30, Northland families bought hundreds of the stuffed animals to send to the refugee camps as well. So together as the church, we donated $9,967.08. That means 313 children will receive a cuddly tiger, lamb or elephant to keep and love as their own! As they hug their stuffed animals, they’ll hear fun songs about who God is and what He has done. Thank you for sharing God’s love with the children who need it most of all!
