Filling the Nets (Jan 12-14)

Northland Children

We worship Jesus as the God of Wonders. Jesus did wonders (or miracles) to reveal His glory and so people would put their faith in Him.

When you sit at home: Read Luke 5:1-11. What is a miracle? (A miracle is an amazing surprise from God that can only be performed by Him.) After the fishermen saw this miracle, what did Jesus ask them to do? Did they do it?

Ages 4-K Whisper Verse: Jesus said, “Come, follow Me.”

When you walk along the road: When Jesus asked the men to put out their nets again, Simon Peter didn’t think they would catch anything but he did it anyway because he had faith in Jesus. When have you done something that you knew God wanted you to do even when maybe it didn’t make sense to do it?

When you lie down: Pray this prayer each day this week: “Thank You, Lord for Your amazing miracles. Help us to have faith to follow You. Amen.”

When you get up: Jesus spent time with the people teaching them and doing miracles. Who could you spend time with who might need to be encouraged to have faith? Tell them about Jesus and the fishermen and how Jesus’ miracles help people to have faith in Him.

Age 3-K Bible Memory Verse
“ I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember Your miracles.” Psalm 77:11
