Elaine Harland-Colter oversees the Care Ministries at the Longwood Campus. Working with ministries to empower, equip and encourage healing and growth through support, Ministries include, DivorceCare, GriefShare, His Way and Celebrate Recovery (addiction ministries) Praxis, prayer, woman’s and men’s sexual healing groups, Pet Pals and a few small group woman’s ministries. She received her biblical counseling diploma from American Association of Christian Counselors in October 2011.
Working alongside women in crisis through the pastoral care deptartment. She attributes her continual desire for growth and education to Northland’s worship and ministry and feels her life has been forever changed since her arrival from the United Kingdom in 2001. God recently through her healing story to meet the man God prepared for her and was married in March 2013 to Dale Colter. He has four daughters: Jordan, Jillian, Merideth and MacKenzie and she has two, Alisha and Brittney, as well as her grandson whom she has raised since birth, Talon.
