PRAISE and PRAYER
Thank you again for the significant response the previous week
to Pastor Joel’s challenge to meet the budgetary needs of the church. We did not meet that need
this week, please do not be discouraged but do what you can out of what you have been given. I am
so grateful for your sacrifice unto the Lord. It is “a sweet-smelling sacrifice that is pleasing to
God” (Philippians 4:18). Let me encourage you to always give to God first. Proverbs gives us this
challenge, with a promise:
“Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the
best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over” (Proverbs 3:9-10,
The Message). Thank you for honoring God with your tithes
and offerings, as together we faithfully follow Him ... serving everywhere, every day and
reflecting the love of Jesus Christ. May the Lord bless you for your faithfulness to Him as
expressed in your sacrificial giving.
