"Partners" are churches with whom Northland has ever-deepening relationships for mutual support
and increased effectiveness for the Kingdom of God. We are not complete without each other. They
further our understanding and appreciation of God. We connect with them on a personally fulfilling
heart level and we work well together to bless others.
Like all relationships, these partnerships are dynamic. They need to be renewed on a regular
basis, or they will lose their vitality. We need to continue to work together to serve others in
eternally significant ways. That is why we want you to get to know them.
Be encouraged. Be challenged. Be enlarged. Be international.

EGYPT - KASR EL DOBARA
Situated in Cairo, the largest city in Africa and the “gateway to the Middle East”, Kasr El
Dobara is the largest Protestant church in the Arabic-speaking world. They believe that God has
uniquely situated and blessed them so they can be a blessing to their city and country, the Middle
East and North Africa. Their tangible expressions of love for their neighbors inspire us. Their
obedience in the face of opposition challenges us.

NAMIBIA - KHOMAS COMMUNITY CHURCH
Khomas is located in the capital city of Windhoek, but Northland’s relationships with
Namibia extend throughout the country. Many Northlanders have first hand experience in Namibia as a
result of the project in 2002 in which 300 people taught in schools, did outreach events and
business training. Namibia is also the home of Lon and Val Garber, Northlands first distributed
pastor.

SOUTH AFRICA - VREDELUST
Cape Town is a city of great contradictions. It is the legislative capital of the richest
and most industrialized country in Africa but is plagued with widespread economic, social, and
health problems like racial tension, AIDS, tuberculosis and high crime rate. In this context,
Verdelust is an agent of peace, hope, reconciliation and healing.

SRI LANKA - KITHU SEVANA
This island nation off the southeast coast of India became a well known to Northlanders in
the aftermath of the Tsunami of December, 2004. But for the previous 10 years Northland has been
involved with the indigenous ministry Kithu Sevana which trains leaders, plants churches and is a
witness to the love of God in this multi-cultural, often hostile, environment.

UKRAINE - DOM ARCHITECTORA
The national anthem proclaims “Ukraine’s glory has not perished” and this is true of its
rich Christian heritage as well. Positioned at the juncture of Europe and Asia, Ukraine has
political, economic and spiritual impact beyond its borders. Northland has a widespread network of
relationships in Kiev including collaboration with the REALIS Center for Christian counselors,
Music Mission Kiev and the Alliance of Missionary Evangelical Churches of Ukraine.

ARGENTINA - SAN ANDRES EN OLIVOS
Situated in Buenos Aires, one of the most beautiful and important cities in South America,
Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church provides spiritual leadership to the whole of the Saint Andrews
community – comprised of the church, a university and one of the most renowned K-12 schools in the
country – which in turn provides leadership for Argentina and the global community. Community
service initiatives and youth and family ministry are hallmarks of Saint Andrews.

BRAZIL - IGREJA PRESBYTERIANA DE MANAUS
The Amazon basin, an area larger than Western Europe, is home to some of the least
evangelized people in Brazil. It is estimated that there are 36,000 river communities without a
church that, due to their remote location, are only accessible by boat. Northlanders have traveled
into the depths of this region to help local churches establish contact with and provide
encouragement to these isolated communities in the heart of South America.

|
BULGARIA - HOLY TRINITY CHURCH
An interdenominational pastor’s alliance, a church planting movement and serving orphans,
prisioners and the handicapped are some of the ministries of this vibrant church in Sofia. They
also meet the diverse needs of the members of their family of faith through worship, teaching and
small groups.

CHINA
Northland began to form relationships with church leaders in China through a symposium on
ministry in China held by the Christian Leadership Exchange whose desire is to build bridges
between the church in China and churches in the US. Those relationships have deepened over the
years and have been a source of mutual encouragement and edification.
