Before joining the Northland staff, Robert worked at Strang Communications Co. in Lake Mary as the editorial director, where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the company's magazine division. He also served as senior editor of New Man magazine for more than six years. He was awarded several times for his work by the Evangelical Press Association and the Florida Magazine Association. In 2002, he was named Emerging Leader of the Year by the National Coalition of Men's Ministries. Prior to moving to Florida in 1999, he worked for three years as an editor on Billy Graham's Decision magazine and as an associate editor of the Minnesota Christian Chronicle.
