Welcome to Children's Ministries at Northland at Longwood where children experience an authentic worship service, hear sound Biblical instruction and make connections with adult leaders and other children!
Families with children ages 2 through fifth grade are given a safe place where each child is greeted and welcomed, and provided the opportunity to learn who God is and what He has done through "kid-crafted" experiences that make the stories of the Bible come alive. Children also receive materials and instruction that will extend worship and spiritual training to sharing time with parents at home.
Superior care by trained child care professionals is available for children 6 weeks old through 24 months. Special needs children of all ages may choose to attend the typical classes with the assistance of a "buddy" who can provide physical and emotional support, or opt for the structure of a smaller class.
Worship Times:
Saturdays at 5 p.m.
Sundays at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Mondays at 7 p.m.

Through energetic worship, prayer time and classroom instruction, The Worship, The Word & The Way Bible curriculum is designed to help children ages 2-11 discover who God is and what He has done. Children learn the stories of the Bible—from Genesis through Revelation—through age-appropriate activities that make the stories come alive. To see what the children are learning, please visit our children's curriculum website.
Children also learn practical ways to apply the truths of the stories to their everyday lives. For example, with the goal of helping children respond to God in generosity from an early age, we collect an offering in every class that is donated to the week's designated local or global ministry.
Because we believe their spiritual education does not end when they leave the classroom, children receive take-home devotional materials related to what they have learned in class. The hope is that these resources will be of great assistance in helping YOU guide your child on his or her spiritual journey!

Not only do we have lots of fun and learn a lot in Children's Ministries, we do so in an intentionally safe environment. All volunteers and staff have been thoroughly screened and trained. We follow systematic check-in and dismissal procedures through the use of computerized check-in stations and security team personnel. If we need to contact you during a worship service, you will be promptly notified either by pager or by displaying your name on the screen in the sanctuary.
Children may be checked in 30 minutes prior to the start of worship services. All parents of children under age three will receive a pager so that you may be contacted during services should the need arise. Snacks are usually provided in the younger classes, so if your child has allergies, you'll want to advise the teacher and pack an individual snack.
We are so thankful for the privilege to share the love of Christ with your child, and we look forward to getting to know your family—partnering with you in the spiritual development of the next generation!
If you have a heart for children, we want to partner with you in teaching the next generation about God! Our Children's Ministries has many opportunities where you can help build a solid foundation based on God's Word in the lives of our children. We need teachers, classroom helpers, greeters, check-in assistants, worship team singers, puppeteers and storytellers. You don't need any previous experience — all training and materials will be provided! Need a little inspiration? Check this out:
