Fred Franz

Governing Elder

Governing Elder Fred Franz has been a State Farm Insurance agent for the last 26 years with an office in Oviedo, Florida. Fred is a board member for Life to Life Ministries and Focus on Christ Ministries and is on the national advisor team for Young Life Capernaum ministry for the disabled. Fred and his wife, Kathy, have been married for 30 years, and they have three children: Brad, Kelli and Erin. Fred and Kathy have been members of Northland since 2004. They are part of and helped launch the Oviedo distributed site. Fred is currently an usher and prayer-team member. He has been serving on the leadership team and more recently as a site elder, too. Kathy works in children’s ministries and also coordinates volunteer efforts at Girls and Boys Town in Oviedo, where she also volunteers in the baby shelter. Fred and Kathy’s main ministry focus for the last 16 years has been Young Life, where they both have led college Bible studies, mentored young adults and served on the local board. Both believe they are called to serve and lead where God has opened doors at Northland.
