Babel - When We Became Them
Redefining Secondary Relationships

Pastor Kevin Urichko began working at Northland in 1991 for then-Youth Pastor Vernon Rainwater. Kevin always felt comfortable as a behind-the-scenes person and never saw himself as a preacher, though God’s call to ministry was evident. His time as Pastor Vernon’s assistant helped him move toward a shepherding ministry and pastoral care. He now enjoys listening to others through counseling, letting them share what is going on in their lives and applying the Word of God, through a relationship with Christ, to their struggles. Kevin began his studies at Boston University, earning a bachelor’s degree with a major in philosophy and a minor in psychology. He earned his Master of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry degrees from Reformed Theological Seminary in Oviedo, Florida. “Partnering the House Church and the Large Church” was the title of his doctoral dissertation. Kevin desires to see the power of relationships released at Northland for the benefit of our local communities. Kevin oversees a variety of ministries, including children’s and adult ministries and pastoral care, which covers baptisms, confirmations, weddings and funerals. He also serves on the board of the Florida Counseling Foundation, on the board for His Way Christian Fellowship, as pastoral advisor of the International Community School and as a charter member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Kevin and his wife, Linda, have been married since 1991 and have two children, Kristen and Isaac. Linda, an elementary school teacher at International Community School in Winter Park, is active in many ministries at Northland.
