Each class begins with the couples gathering in a candlelit room for a meal that they have provided for themselves. Together the large group views a video teaching, and then couples disperse to work through the evening’s material together. There is no group discussion – only discussion between husband and wife. Is your marriage in crisis? Are you separated? Do you feel you may be on the verge of divorce? Or maybe the problems eating away at your relationship don’t seem that bad now, but appear to be getting worse and you don’t know what to do. If you identify with any of these, Marriage 911 may have the answers you are looking for.
This fourteen-week program is conducted twice a year and takes place in Fellowship Hall in the Rink. You are welcome to attend with or without your spouse as men and women participate separately. The course is led by Marv and Linda Rooks, who themselves survived a three year separation in the ‘90s. Linda is the author of Broken Heart on Hold, Surviving Separation, (Cook 2006), which is available in the Northland bookstore. Other leaders include Bob and Cindy Lehn, now married 36 years, who also found healing after surviving a period of crisis.
While waiting for the course to begin, we encourage you to pick up a copy of Broken Heart on Hold to walk with you during this time and prepare your heart for what God wants to do in your life and in your marriage. Then when the course begins, please join us to learn from couples who’ve come through the fire themselves and found the warmth and healing of a reconciled marriage. For more information or to register for the course, please call Linda at 407-644-8619.
If you have also come through a difficult crisis in your marriage and now find it strong and thriving,, you may want to consider ministering along side of us to others in crisis.
If you would like to know more about ministering on the Marriage 911 team, please contact Linda at 407-644-8619,
