Watch the on-demand recording of the first class in this 18-week series.

Explore the Gospel of Mark during this in-depth, 18-week study on the ministry years of Christ. Your eyes will be opened as you learn about the origins of Mark’s Gospel, which may well have been written in response to the fire that destroyed Rome in 64 A.D. The Emperor Nero blamed that fire on the Christians, and severe persecution ensued. Mark was writing to believers living through this time. He calls on his readers to take on the nature of Christ as they endure sufferings, while continuing to be faithful servants.

The class is taught by Dr. Dan Lacich, one of Northland’s pastors. Attend in Longwood in room 4213/15, or access this class LIVE ONLINE at 9 a.m. (EST) on Sundays! Just click on the “Gospel of Mark” link on the homepage to join.

Weekly Worship Service (Sunday 9 a.m.)

Time: 9 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.

Join us at this time each week at Longwood, Mount Dora, Oviedo, West Oaks and Online. Each week’s service is unique and themed around an attribute of God’s nature (i.e. His mercy, goodness, grace, etc.). The preaching is biblical, applicable and winsome. And the music is a mix of contemporary worship and beloved hymns—blending the foundational and the modern. It’s what Robert Webber called “ancient future” worship, “The common tradition of the church’s worship in Word, Table, and song, practiced faithfully and communicated clearly in every context of the world.” Woven together are the historical creeds of the faith and time-honored practices of the church, with new, innovative tools and modern expressions of worship.

Join with other college/career-age young adults who’ve graduated from high school, ages 18 to 25. (If you are over age 25, check out Common Ground on Monday nights.) Be challenged, ask questions and receive encouragement in your walk with Christ. We meet in The Rink Sunday nights to hang out and make friends around a home-cooked meal prepared by your fellow college/career folks, who take turns cooking for the group. There is a $2 charge to cover the food. Then, we fellowship in song and hear a brief message designed to set up our small-group discussion time around God’s truths that deal with issues relevant to you. Help us serve our community with Christ’s love through monthly service projects. Join a home group Bible study or get connected with a mentor. Come to know and be known by God’s family, while reaching out to the world.
