This women’s group prays individually for each woman who submits a prayer request from the Orange County 33rd Street Correctional Facility. We pray by name and send a card of encouragement to the women weekly. The name “J33P” came from the following: “J33” is from Jeremiah 33:3—which says, “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know”—as well as focusing on the women of the 33rd Street jail, and “P” is for prayers!

Amazing Grace free movie showing

Amazing Grace based on the the life William Wilberforce, who as a member of Parliament navigated the world of 18th century backroom politics to end the slave trade in the British Empire. John Newton, a confidante of Wilberforce who inspires him to pursue a life of service to humanity. William Pitt the Younger, England’s youngest ever Prime Minister at the age of 24, who encourages his friend Wilberforce to take up the fight to outlaw slavery and supports him in his struggles in Parliament. Elected to the House of Commons at the age of 21, and on his way to a successful political career, Wilberforce, over the course of two decades, took on the English establishment and persuaded those in power to end the inhumane trade of slavery.

This women’s group prays individually for each woman who submits a prayer request from the Orange County 33rd Street Correctional Facility. We pray by name and send a card of encouragement to the women weekly. The name “J33P” came from the following: “J33” is from Jeremiah 33:3—which says, “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know”—as well as focusing on the women of the 33rd Street jail, and “P” is for prayers!

Northland’s governing elders are inviting all Northlanders to come together in the sanctuary for congregational prayer, Thursday evenings from 6 to 7 p.m. for twelve weeks through July 30. We hope that you will join us as we come before God’s throne to thank Him for what He has done and commit to Him the needs of the church and His people. The focus of this time will be our spiritual growth, the church’s finances and the needs of our congregation, as well as the ministry happening around the world. Come and go during the hour as your schedule permits. If you are unable to join us in Longwood, we encourage you to participate with us from 6 to 7 p.m. no matter where you are located (prayer guides below).
