Just as God has uniquely created each individual, designing within each one the potential to contribute something precious to the lives of others, so too God has created diversity in His kingdom so that each congregation and Christian organization will make a unique contribution to the world.
When we come to God, it is because we are responding to His voice. It is God who initiates; God who calls; God who saves. As ever, Lord, my only "need" is that you would change the way I think, feel and act to align with Your will, wit and wisdom; within that context I am confident that all other matters of this world will be engaged in proper order and priority under Your authority, love, guidance and leadership.
I consider that any hardship I endure in this life I have brought upon myself through the sustained exercise of my "free will" in lieu of seeking to abide in Grace through surrender to your provision and instruction, not that it represents "punishment" but rather merely the "consequences of my own actions" and serves to confront and challenge my selfishness and sin.
I confess that I am at a loss of confidence that I could possibly (either "truely" or "effectively") love You, Whom I cannot even fathom or conceive of within the framework of my current being or mindset, when I recognize that I have failed to be able to do similarly with any of my mortal associations, much less relationships.
I concede my dependance upon You to effect righteousness and fulfillment of my life toward the accomplishment of everything for which you endowed me in my creation.for this life. Forgive me for wasting so much of my life thinking: "I can (or want to) do this on my own".
