The goal of Northland's addiction recovery ministries is not only to help people stop destructive behaviors, but to enable them to get radically right with God and experience freedom in Christ that He purchased for us on the cross. "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery" (Galatians 5:1).

Welcome to Children's Ministries for Northland at Mount Dora! During our service in Mount Dora, three-year-olds through Kindergarten attend Sunday School and Children's Church is offered for first through fifth grade. The children explore stories of the Bible from cover-to-cover while building relationships with teachers and friends. Little ones ages 6 weeks through 36 months are cared for in our nursery. Northland provides a variety of Christian education options for children with special needs. Many students take part in the typical classes with the assistance of a “buddy” who may provide some physical or emotional support. Disaster Response at Northland are teams that train for and respond to disasters, complementing and supporting government and emergency agencies as they respond to communities in need. Teams feed survivors and first responders and assist with a variety of medical, personal and community needs. For training purposes and to serve our local community, teams regularly participate in community outreach activities.

Volunteers are trained to serve children and their families that have been identified as homeless or housed in a manner that is not safe. As a volunteer Resource Advocate you will be connected to a family and walk the journey with them. The Resource Advocate's role is to guide the family and assist them in locating the needed resources. All Resource Advocates work from the Northland FAO (Family transition Advocate Office) located in the Care Center building.
