Northland’s Access Ministries seeks to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families. These efforts are being led by Laura Lee Wright, Northland’s disability team leader. We can best accommodate your special needs if you arrive early for worship services. Details: Congregational Services (407-949-4000 or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address))
Special Needs Seating
It is Northland’s desire to accommodate the special needs of our congregants whenever possible. People with wheelchairs, walkers or other special needs have designated seating areas throughout the sanctuary if needed.
Special Needs/Cry Room
There is a special needs/cry room located at the back left side of the sanctuary. This room is equipped with comfortable seating and a large-screen monitor to watch and hear the service. The room is useful not only for moms and babies or small children, but also for children who may find the service to be too much stimulation, who are prone to seizures, who have autism, and other special needs children. To support this, there are two family restrooms nearby.
Assistance for Those With Hearing Loss
Enjoy a signed worship service on Sundays at 9 a.m. Sound amplification aids are free and available at the Welcome Center for use during any worship service. Details: Susan Cholewa (407-937-0544)
Lyrics for Visually Impaired
Printed lyrics for the visually impaired are located at the Welcome Center.
Sunday School
Sunday school class for children through fifth grade with special needs is offered on Sundays at 11 a.m. in the Children’s Worship Wing.
Buddy Breaks
Northland, in partnership with Nathaniel’s Hope, offers respite for parents of kids with special needs on the second Saturday of each month. Forms can be downloaded here:
