Stepping Up Men’s Study - Wed. a.m.

Are you ready to step up?

After hosting the largest Super Saturday event in the country this February, the men of Northland are ready to take the next step toward biblical manhood. Even if you weren't able to be a part of Super Saturday, you can be a part of the next step—the 10-week Stepping Up video series.

Groups of guys will meet weekly to watch some of the best video content ever produced for men and then unpack what it means in the journey to biblical manhood. Take this step for yourself, and ask another guy to join you ... "iron sharpens iron, and so one man sharpens another" (Prov. 27:17).

Here are the three steps you need to take right now to be a part of this opportunity:

1. Register for the day/time that works best for you. Classes meet Wednesday morning, Saturday morning and Sunday evening.

2. Prior to the first session you need to stop by the Northland bookstore at the Longwood campus to purchase your "Stepping Up Workbook," which will be used in each of the 10 weekly sessions. The cost of the workbook is $20.

3. Show up!

Here's what to expect:

In the Stepping Up™ video series, Dennis Rainey, Matt Chandler, Robert Lewis, Voddie Baucham, Tony Dungy, Mark Driscoll, Crawford Loritts and others unpack biblical manhood and what it means to be a godly, courageous man in today's world. They challenge men to step up, to reach back to younger generations in discipleship, and to point to the future through a personal legacy. Holy Land Pilgrimage, Information Meeting

See the people, places and Bible events of our Lord’s home come alive before our eyes. We will be inspired as we worship and partake of the Lord’s Supper together in the Garden Tomb, pray in the Garden of Gethsemane, sail across the Sea of Galilee, and visit many other sites. Dodgeball League

Time: 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Details: WantokSports in partnership with the Northland Student Ministries is launching a 2013 Spring Dodge Ball League that will run from April 4 to approximately May 23. The league will be made up of co-ed players from both high school students (9th grade and up) and adults. Players will be divided up in teams of 6-10 players and must include at least one player from both sexes on a team. Players can form their own teams in advance by coming up with a team name and identifying a team captain and indicating this on their registration form. It will be a first come first serve basis for a team and players on a team cannot exceed 10. The goal of this league is to help build personal relationships between the youth in our community and adults. We will also use this as an opportunity to grow in our lives by applying Bible based life lessons in the form of a short lesson period each week. All players must register by going to this link. All players must all pay the $10 registration fee and sign all waivers and disclosures before being allowed to participate in the league.

Celebrate Recovery (Longwood)

Time: 7 - 9:30 p.m.
Details: Discover the loving power of Jesus Christ through a 12-step recovery process. Participate with others who are dealing with hurts, habits and hang-ups. This is a time for the entire family to come together and find healing. This gathering is held every Friday night at Northland at Longwood, in the Children's Worship Wing ... even on holidays! An optional family style dinner ($2 charge per person) is served at 6 p.m. Several groups are currently being offered, Including women's addiction, men's addiction, women's co-dependency, men's co-dependency, Men's Sexual Addiction, Women's Physical, Emotional and Sexual Abuse, Men's Anger, Love and Relationship Addiction for Women and eating disorders. Northland's college ministry is geared toward college students and young professionals aged 18-25 who have graduated from high school. Fusion serves the needs of growing individuals with a focus on fellowship and Bible study, and is currently going through a series on love.
