Downtown Homeless Ministry - June 23

Time: 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Details:

Be a part of the Homeless Ministry Team which provides food, clothing and items to the needy in Orlando. Participate in worship, devotion and ministering to the homeless. Meals served and devotion held in the St. George's Orthodox Church parking lot. Carpool options, details to come 1-2 days prior to project. If you are able, we ask that you bring food with you to hand out (sandwiches, pop top lid canned food, granola bars etc.) but it is not required to serve with the group. Join us for worship at Longwood or online. Each week's service is unique and themed around an attribute of God's nature (i.e. His mercy, goodness, grace, etc.). The preaching is biblical, applicable and winsome. And the music is a mix of contemporary worship and beloved hymns — blending the foundational and the modern. It's what Robert Webber called "ancient future" worship, "the common tradition of the church's worship in Word, Table, and song, practiced faithfully and communicated clearly in every context of the world." Woven together are the historical creeds of the faith and time-honored practices of the church, with new, innovative tools and modern expressions of worship. Join the gathering! Building Strong Families: Summer Nights

Time: 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Student Ministries will be hosting a series for parents of teens featuring Joel C. and Becky Hunter, along with other outstanding guest speakers. This summer we will be walking through "Parenting Beyond Your Capacity." Bring your whole family for a light dinner, game time, teaching and break-out discussions by age group. Childcare will be provided during break-out time (registration required). We are anticipating an incredible summer of community, challenges and growth! We hope you and your family will participate in building a stronger family. REGISTRATION REQUIRED
