Crossing Thin Ice: Secrets of Influential Parenting

Time: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Details:

You probably wouldn't be surprised to know that for most kids, their friends are the most influential people in their lives. But what may surprise you is, your kids wish it was YOU.

The journey from adolescence to adulthood is treacherous. The pressures of friends, culture and difficult relationships, many young adults find themselves hanging onto their faith by a thread - if they hang on at all.

This key transition period is when parent-teen communication most often breaks down, leaving parents with their hands tied and frustrated, while teens make potentially faith-threatening choices in isolation.

Jeff Schadt's Crossing Thin Ice conference will help you implement changes that will transform your relationship with your teens. Every parent wants to not only get their children across thin ice but to influence their children far beyond that… Crossing Thin Ice can show you how.

Join us for this 2 day conference, April 27th, 6:30-9:30pm and 28th, 9:00am-3:00pm. Tickets are $25 per person (plus a $2 ticketing fee per ticket.)  Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door.

This conference is recommended for parents of children between the ages of 8 to 18.

Childcare is full and no longer available for this conference. Please accept our apologies.

Worship God - 5:00 p.m.

Time: 5 - 6:15 p.m.
Details:

Join us for worship at Longwood or online. Each week's service is unique and themed around an attribute of God's nature (i.e. His mercy, goodness, grace, etc.). The preaching is biblical, applicable and winsome. And the music is a mix of contemporary worship and beloved hymns — blending the foundational and the modern. It's what Robert Webber called "ancient future" worship, "the common tradition of the church's worship in Word, Table, and song, practiced faithfully and communicated clearly in every context of the world." Woven together are the historical creeds of the faith and time-honored practices of the church, with new, innovative tools and modern expressions of worship. Join the gathering! Worship Times: Saturdays at 5 p.m. EST / Longwood and online Sundays at 9 a.m. EST / Longwood, Mount Dora, Oviedo and online Sundays at 11 a.m. EST / Longwood, Mount Dora, Oviedo and online Sundays at 5 p.m. EST / Longwood and online Mondays at 7 p.m. EST / Longwood and online
