We are in the home stretch of Northland’s budget year with December remaining. In order to make our budget we need to bring in $1,686,424 by December 31. To put that in perspective, our generous congregation gave $1,817,262 in December 2010. As evidenced by recent history, this is a goal we can accomplish together.
Our church’s Less Is More initiative is an opportunity for our congregation to pay down our mortgage debt before we refinance in 2012. This is a significant initiative; however, the church’s first priority is to meet the ministry and practical needs of our congregation and others we serve through our general budget goals. Mortgage reduction is our second priority (Less Is More). Northland is not able to utilize Less Is More funds to offset any budget need, as they are designated to pay down the principal on the mortgage. Please consider these priorities when you are deciding how to give.
