Northland's Daddy-Daughter Dance is right around the corner! It is an amazing evening designed to provide dads with the opportunity to take their little girls out for a very special time of dancing, food and wonderful surprises!

It takes hundreds of volunteers to make this big event happen ... and that's why we need YOUR help!

Wednesday, February 29 and Thursday, March 1: Food prep. You'll be dpping strawberries and marshmallows into chocolate at a professional kitchen. The process will be easy and we will have the counsel of experts! Please note: You will be standing! (Serve All Catering Kitchens, 1295 W. Airport Blvd., Sanford, FL 32773)

Thursday, March 1: Set-up/Decorations. Help transform Northland at Longwood's foyer into a place idea for an "Underwater Waltz!" We’ll be moving furniture, setting up tables and decorating from 3-7 p.m.

Friday, March 2 (Day Of!):

Food preparers. You'll be setting up kitchens and platters from 9 a.m. to noon.

Set-up/Decorations. From 9 a.m. to noon.

Last minute Set-up. Help with last minute details (such as moving coolers, filling punch bowls, bagging cotton candy, etc.) from 3-5:30 p.m.

Ticket takers. Welcome guests with a smile, taking their tickets and directing them inside to the festivities (from 5:30-10 p.m.).

Food prep/Kitchen help. Manage restocking food trays and cleaning as necessary (from 5:30-10 p.m.).

Food Servers/Runners. Help replenish food tables throughout the evening. It will require walking back and forth from the foyer to the food prep areas as needed. You will also be of assistance prepping food on trays (from 5:30-10 p.m.).

Cotton candy/Popcorn makers. Prepare and serve (from 5:30-10 p.m.).

Punch attendants. You'll be filling cups with punch and ensuring the fountain stays stocked with punch and cups (from 5:30-10 p.m.).

Bathroom attendants. Help the little girls with their dresses (a specific request from the Dads at previous dances). Pass the girls paper towels and also have fun with lotions and body sprays!

Photographer helpers. Assist a photographer to position each photo, and ensure a smooth transition from family to family. Also assist with the lines, and traffic flow.

Face Painting. Enjoy painting or drawing simple art on some adorable faces!

Activity Assistants. Help the children in an activity area where they can color, do puzzles and create arts & crafts with their dad!

Tear down. Help us get the foyer ready for weekend worship services! Tear down will begin after the dance at 9:45 p.m. It will require lifting and moving of furniture, plants, tables, etc.

Saturday, March 3: Tear down. Help move and load benches from the foyer to a truck in the morning from 9-10 a.m.
