Do you have a heart for the elderly?  Enjoy leading Bible studies, playing games, doing crafts, leading a karaoke contest or just engaging in great conversation?  If so, Island Lake Center (an assisted living center and nursing home) in Longwood is looking for volunteers like you to help!  Work along side a staff member to plan and carry out activities for residents.  Volunteer hours and days are flexible to fit your schedule.  It's a great opportunity for individuals, your family or small group to serve together!

All that is required is a volunteer application and background check (background check is paid for by Island Lake Center).  Persons under 18 are permitted to serve at Island Lke Center but must be accompanied by an adult.  If you have questions or would like to fill out a volunteer application please contact Kayce Devers (Assistant Recreation Director) at Acacia.Devers@opismr.com or call 407-937-1709.
