The Northland Disaster Response team is excited about it's new partnership with Search and Rescue of Central Florida (SARCF)! This organization is run and supported by local volunteers. It provides search teams utilizing certified search and rescue K9 and support personnel to aid the community in the event of a missing person, and/or natural disaster. Services are provided at no cost to law enforcement, or others in need of their services.
Members are trained and experienced in wilderness search, navigation, and maintaining site investigative integrity. All personnel are certified through the National Association of Search and Rescue (NASAR), and many have advanced training in emergency medical care, communication and veterinary skills.
SARCF holds free bi-monthly training, and welcomes anyone who is interested in helping their community through search and rescue to come out and see what it is all about.
Please visit SARCF's website: www.sarcf.com for more information and view the training calendar. If interested in joining the team please visit the Northland Disaster Response website to register and start receiving emails from the team.
