Just as God has uniquely created each individual, designing within each one the potential to contribute something precious to the lives of others, so too God has created diversity in His kingdom so that each congregation and Christian organization will make a unique contribution to the world.

PRESS RELEASE: Nick Vujicic Returns to Orlando—No Arms, No Legs ... No Limits

Written by: Robert Andrescik, Northland's PR Guy in News and Inspiration on April 13, 2012

NOTE FROM ROB: Nick has some pretty amazing interview opportunities coming up related to his visit to Northland. Please pray that God will use this coverage to draw many unto Himself! Here's the press release ...

LONGWOOD, FLA. — Born with no arms and no legs, Nick Vujicic has traveled the world and inspired millions. Last year, more than 23,000 people from 78 countries heard him speak at Northland Church. Now, he’s returning to Central Florida, April 21-23, to talk about how God changed his life and gave him hope and a future, including his latest adventure ... marriage.

“Praise God, He has indeed blessed me with my beautiful new wife, Kanae,” Nick glows. Married since February 12, he writes on his website, “I know many of you have been praying for this, and I can’t thank you enough.”
Originally from Brisbane, Australia, Vujicic (pronounced “Voy-cheech”) is the president of an international organization called Life Without Limbs (http://www.lifewithoutlimbs.org). His life-changing message: “If God can use a man without arms and legs to be His hands and feet, then He will certainly use any willing heart.”

Local disabilities advocates are hoping that Nick’s visit will also inspire houses of worship to become more intentional about including individuals with disabilities.

“Creating a more welcoming environment for individuals and families with disabilities is something most churches could improve upon with some planning and a decision to just do it,” explains Laura Lee Wright, director of Northland’s Access Ministries (http://www.northlandchurch.net/ministry/access-ministries/).

Northland is privileged to have children with disabilities joining in its children’s church with specially trained “buddies” lending a hand. An integrated youth and young adult ministry called Young Life Capernaum has also been created. Additionally, there are programs and events for families, including a free respite program called “Buddy Break” designed to give caregivers of kids with special needs a break from their ongoing care-giving responsibilities.

Northland is honored to welcome Nick Vujicic during all regularly scheduled services at 530 Dog Track Road, in Longwood (all times EST):

Saturday, April 21 at 5 p.m.

Sunday, April 22 at 9, 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Monday, April 23 at 7 p.m.

All services will be webcast live at http://www.northlandchurch.net.
