I've said many times in many places to many people—if you've been told boys will be boys, you've been lied to. Truth is, boys will be men. And girls, of course, will be women. Parenting with the end in mind is one of Joel's and my favorite topics to address together. We raised our three sons with "the end" in mind and we are very glad we did. If our experiences can be of help to you as you try to build strong Christian adults out of the young people God has put in your life, we would love that.
To that end, Joel and I are excited about addressing the principle of "parenting with the end in mind" with whomever can come this Saturday night, July 21, for a session of "Building Strong Families."
Hosted by Northland's Student Ministries team, and geared toward parents of middle- and high-school students, this 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. gathering includes a light dinner, a game time, our teaching and then break-out discussions by age group. Childcare will be provided during break-out time. As you might imagine, in order to be adequately prepared to host you, registration is required if you plan to attend the gathering, so please sign up at https://northlandchurch.wufoo.com/forms/family-summer-program/
Joel and I are looking forward to the time with everyone!
And FYI, the following Saturday night, Dr. Jim Coffield, an associate professor of counseling and the clinical director of the M.A. in Counseling degree program at Reformed Theological Seminary will address the gathering. Dr. Coffield is a brilliant godly man whom Joel and I dearly love. If you can't make it this Saturday evening, for heaven's sake don't miss the following one! It will be awesome!
See you Saturday night!
