As many of you have heard by now, Michelle Obama will be coming to Northland on February 11 as part of her "Let's Move" initiative to fight childhood obesity. Not only is it an honor to host the wife of a President of the United States, it is an opportunity to accomplish parts of our mission as a church.
Northland has historically been an advocate for the well being of children. Most recently, we have been partnering with Seminole County Schools to help homeless students and their families move towards self-sufficiency. We’re also working with the State of Florida to transition kids out of foster care into forever families.
This event is also an avenue to serve others. We have always been a resource for our community as part of being a church (Jer. 29:7)—from disaster response training events to The Festival of Orchestras.
Northland is honored to welcome the First Lady and to host this community event!
Tickets are required and are in limited supply. For details, contact Jo-Anne Holleran at jo-anne.holleran@northlandchurch.net.
The event will be streamed live at whitehouse.gov/live
