Greetings,

My name is Amanda and I have been attending Northland for three years. My family and I love this congregation and Pastor Joel. We feel blessed to be a part of such a loving church family. I am writing to inquire about possible career opportunities either with Northland or affiliated organizations.

I graduated from UCF in December 2012. I hold a B.A. in English with an emphasis in Technical Communication.

I have been looking for an entry-level technical writing position for over a year now and have not been successful. So far, the positions that I have found require extensive experience in the field. I have strong writing and editing skills and need only an opportunity to demonstrate this.

If anyone has information about potential opportunities for me, I would appreciate any advise and help that I can get.

Thank You

-Amanda

Hi, Lauren. I’m so sorry, but no we don’t. We focus on helping non-profit, Christ-focused organizations find employees as a way to serve the community and the body of Christ.

Does Northland have a website where people can list job openings at companies where Northland members work? It would be nice to look for jobs where fellow members work.
Does this already exist?

I believe the Lord has been directing my heart and mind toward Full-time Children’s Ministry for many years.

I am currently out of town and unable to forward my Resume at the moment. But I am too excited about this post to wait til Monday evening, when I can access my Resume on my laptop.

I have a very strong background in Children’s Ministry as I was a Children’s Leader in the Bible Study Fellowship program for over 11 years. During that time, I developed Bible Lessons, Creative Bible-learning activities and formed a very special bond with my students (grades 1-8).

Being a Homeschooling mom of my 4 kids for grades K-12, I was very involved as a co-op teacher for many kids through our Homeschooling Enrichment program in Miami, Fl.
Throughout the years, I have also been a Sunday School Teacher for grades 1-College Age. I have always maintained strong relationships, mentoring a good number of the students I’ve taught, over the years. I believe this was possible because my deep love of scripture and my unquenchable desire to help children apply the Word of the Living God to their little lives.

I am firm with my students while I lavish them with genuine love and my “kids” know and trust that I am genuinely concerned about their lives and futures.

The Lord has also used my personality and vision to guide others in the same endeavor.

I am currently working as an Executive Administrator for a non-profit and while I am extremely comfortable in this position, my passion is Ministry and the Lord has given me a great love for children.

Please consider granting a personal interview at your earliest convenience.

Blessings,
Maria Betancourt

Hello everyone! I pray all is well. Just wanted to let readers know a little bit about my situation. I am a recent graduate of Full Sail University in Winter Park. I started school in 08 and finished this March. While attending Full Sail I attended Northland. Northland became the rock that my girlfriend then, wife now, depended on when in doubt of raising our currently 17 month old son. We are a family now living with my parents in law and trying to raise our son. My career means a lot to me but my family means everything to me and I want to be out on our own supporting them while being involved with a wonderful church like Northland. My resume is not extravagant but it is professional and I have a lot more to offer to many companies than what they see on paper. All I am asking for is an opportunity and while I wait I will continue to do what I have learned to do best, that’s pray. Northland and Joel is the single most influential relationship I have ever been a part of. I watch, learn and pastor my self and family through watching every worship service Northland archives. God has prepared and will continue to prepare me for an opportunity to prove myself to a company or organization and I know they will not be disappointed. Thank you for your time in reading a bit about my life. I am tired of submitting resumes online because I seem to be just another number and in God’s eyes I know Im not just another number. I am ready for a career and a life for my family.

Hello All and peace be with you! My employer, although not a “ministry” position, is currently seeking an experienced HTML coder as well as a php programer (2 positions available). I have been attending Northland for over ten years now and am familiar with the struggles in our audience to find jobs. If anyone is able to fulfill this position, I pray The Lord help one of His children be reached by this message.

Make it a great day!

Greetings in the peace of Christ! I am an RN looking for work. My job history is strongest in Newborn Nursery and Post Partum. My last paycheck is almost gone! I have struggled in the secular nursing world and found it to be about money and power more than anything else :(  Nurses DO eat their young! Sad, but true. I’m considering other career fields as well and praying for guidance. Your prayers would be appreciated-and a good job offer wouldn’t hurt! :)

Hi, I have been seeking work for almost 2yrs now and nothing has come through for me yet. I may not be looking in the right places. I have applied to a few of them on here along with the part time child care within Northland. I have been attending Northland now for almost 18yrs and it is my “home”.  A dream would be to work for Northland, but Unfortunately not many positions that open here are ones that I qualify for.
I was working in the medical field as front desk/receptionist for over 11yrs before loosing my job about 2 yrs ago.  I never would of dreamed that it would be taken me this long to find something, I started out feeling very sure and confident but now well it does do something to you mentally with so much rejection. I’ve sent my resume out over 190 times, I’ve had many many interviews and with no luck in getting any of them, but you also don’t get to know why they didn’t like you, so I don’t know what to fix or change, that’s where the mind tricks come and play.  I know and will always know that it is in God’s hands and my faith has not diminished, just my confidence.
My biggest concern right now is that bills are no longer getting paid due to there is NO INCOME coming in at all, so the fact that rent is due next week is really scary.  It gets difficult when there is no family around but, although I consider Northland my family.  I’m not sure why I’m sharing so much, because it’s not like me to let this all come out.  I’ve just felt that I need to reach out and share what’s going on in my head. I am pretty much alone so I only have to worry about myself and by that I only worry about letting myself down.
I’m just really asking for prayer and also prayer so that I can come out of this shell and try to live a life again. I love working and working in the medical field has been truly amazing, I love patients and being there to help people when they come in.
It’s crazy not having a job and what it’s done to me inside and out. I know if I was working I would feel like I could fit in society again, I like to feel useful and needed.  Thank goodness I don’t have children because it’s hard enough dealing with me:) I am quite single and always have been. I always say “2 can do anything if ONE is the Lord”. I think God knew how much I could handle and that’s just me.  Well now that I’ve opened up more then I ever thought I would or maybe more then I should of, I just hope this can be used to help me and not hurt.
Thanks for your time
Darlene

Hi,
I am seeking Full-time employment.  I graduated from Florida Christian College with a degree in Christian Leadership in 2003 and have served as a Children’s Pastor for a handful of years before coming to Northland.  My wife and I have volunteered with the Pre-K for a couple of years.

Over the past several years, I have worked and served in ministry, marketing, and administrative roles in the construction industry.
I’m praying for His guidance but am open to wherever He wants me.  If anyone knows of a possibility, please let me know.

i am a new christian with an incredible testimony and a strong desire to work with troubled teenagers.  I got saved in the county jail on feb 1 2009, and my life is amazing and i owe it all to gods grace.  while incarcerated i was chosen to speak to teenagers about myself and my bad choices in life.  it seemed to come naturally to me and i believe god has put on my heart that that is what i need to work toward.  So after all of the mess and destruction in my life God totally changed me…after 25 years of work and trouble, i enrolled into seminole state college along with my two children and i am going to work on a degree in social work so that i can do what i know god wants me to do.  I am interested in attending northland as i haven’t found a church since i left titusville 7 weeks ago.  i am probably going to attend celebrate recovery on friday night…the reason for this comment is that if you need any one to volunteer with teenagers or just any help that may be needed i am willing and available.  I can and will be willing to share my testimony with anyone and believe me i was way far gone..lost everything including family freedom and sanity…and in just a short time god is restoring everything to me…he is my true friend and father and without him i would still be a drug addict , thief, liar and terrible person.  i am just amazed at what God has done for me and would like to be able to let others know that things can and will change…God plus effort and i am amazed what is happening in my life, all of the old desires are gone and only goodness and love and a chance to succeed in life is in my future.  if there is any way that i could volunteer with kids i would like to know….i seem to get along with teenagers as i have a 17 year old and a 21 year old at home…there friends like to talk to me as much as them…they say i’m cool and i can relate…just hope this message reaches somebody who may need me to volunteer in any way
your friend in jesus, lesli daniels

I need assistance in finding out more information on the Administrative Assistant - Academic Affairs position.  I clicked the link but do not see “staff” under it.

Also, I submitted my resume in February and was e-mailed by Michael VanHuis stating there were not any positions open at that time but he would keep my resume on file in case anything opened up.  Please let me know if you still have it on file.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Please pray for me as Dr. Laird is my mentor. She has been helping me to go through the process of counseling myself because I’m going to be asked these same questions in school. I am trying to get my Master’s degree in Counseling so that I can help those who have been physically, verbally, or sexually abused.

Pray for Dr. Cheryl Laird. She is in 4th stage non Hodgkin lymphoma. She was in the hospital for all of March and Wednesday was readmitted to hospital because she has no white blood cells, therefore no immune system. Talked to her this week and she said that she is not allowed out of bed, cannot touch anything. She is receiving IV treatment to try to get white blood cells to activate again. Please pray for her healing.
