El ministerio está esparciendo las noticias de su bondad – en Español

Desde hace tres meses, Northland tiene servicios religiosos traducidos al español los domingos a las 9 am y 11 am. Una de las cosas más interesantes de conocer personas de diferentes culturas, especialmente cristianos, es que aprendemos más acerca de Dios desde sus perpectivas, lo que enriquece el cuerpo de Cristo de otras culturas. Las culturas aprenden de otras, y esto nos ayuda a servirles mejor, y aprendemos de ellas.

El pastor Joel recientemente nos recordó que estamos unidos en la sangre de Jesucristo. Un aspecto maravilloso de las escrituras es que nuestra unidad está en la persona y trabajo de Jesucristo, y que Él está en todas las culturas y trasciende todas las culturas. Desde que Northland comenzó a ofrecer el servicio traducido al español en línea y en su sede en Longwood, ha sido un placer conocer más hispanoparlantes provenientes de diversas culturas hispanas, como Clara de Colombia y su esposo José de Puerto Rico. El disfruta oyendo al pastor Joel en inglés mientras ella lo hace en español a través del intérprete. Ambos adoran la predicación centrada en Cristo y la alabanza. Con ese amor, Clara aprecia y agradece al Señor y ahora está solicitando ser voluntaria de los ministerios de niños de Northland.

Las escrituras nos dicen que somos un cuerpo, una iglesia, con muchas partes. Gálatas 3:26-28 dice: “Todos ustedes son hijos de Dios a través de la fé en Cristo Jesús, todos los que han sido bautizados en Cristo se han revestido con Cristo. No hay ni judío, ni griego, ni esclavo o libre, ni hombre o mujer, sino que todos son uno solo en Cristo Jesús”  (NVI)

Es de gran estímulo (reconfortante) ver el cuerpo de la iglesia trabajando juntos y honrando a Dios por lo que Él es y por lo que Él ha hecho por medio de Cristo. Con esto como base, y a la medida que el ministerio hispano se revela como un regalo importante para otros (de la manera como el ministerio hispano se revela como un regalo importante para otros), estamos satisfaciendo la ley real de amar a Dios y a nuestros hermanos. El caso del voluntariado de Clara es un gran ejemplo de esto.

A medida que crecemos juntos tomando clases bíblicas, alabando juntos en la iglesia o a través del Internet, sirviendo a los otros, reconfortándonos unos a otros a madurar en Cristo, recordemos que la sangre, que es más espesa que el agua, fué la que fué derramada “por” nosotros en la cruz. Jesús nos une a todos, Él está en todas las culturas y las trasciende. Será maravilloso ver como Dios le da forma a este ministerio para su gloria. Hago un llamado a aquellos voluntarios con diferentes aptitudes para que sirvan en este ministerio. Que el Señor nos use a todos a espacir las buenas nuevas de su bondad. Invite a sus vecinos a unirse a nosotros a escuchar el servicio en español ya sea en la iglesia o a través del Internet.

Ministry Spreading the News of His Goodness – in Spanish

Three months ago, Northland had its first Spanish-interpreted worship services at 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday. One of the exciting things about meeting people of different cultures, particularly Christians, is that we learn more about God from their perspective, which enriches the body of Christ of other cultures. Cultures learn from other cultures, and this helps us serve them better, and we learn from them.

Pastor Joel recently reminded us that we are united in the blood of Jesus Christ. One wonderful aspect about Scripture is that our unity is in the person and work of Jesus Christ, and He is in and transcends all cultures. Since Northland began offering Spanish interpretation online and on site at Northland at Longwood, it’s been a delight to meet more Spanish-speaking people from various Spanish cultures, such as Clara from Colombia, and her husband, Jose, from Puerto Rico. He enjoys listening to Pastor Joel in English as she listens to him in Spanish via an interpreter. They both love the Christ-centered preaching and worship. With that love, Clara has an appreciation and gratitude to the Lord and is now applying to volunteer with Northland’s Children’s Ministries.

Scripture says we are one body, one church, with many parts. Galatians 3:26-28 says, “You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (NIV).

It is an encouragement to see the church body working together and honoring God for who He is and what He has done because of Christ. With this as the foundation, and as the Spanish ministry unfolds as an important gift for others, we fulfill the royal law to love God and love others. Clara’s example of volunteering is a great example of that.

As we grow together by taking Bible classes, worshiping together at church or online, serving others, and encouraging each other to mature in Christ, let’s remember that the blood that is thicker than water is that which was shed for us on the cross. Jesus unites us all and is in all cultures while transcending them. It will be exciting to see how God will shape this ministry for His glory. I look forward to those who are volunteering in different capacities to serve this ministry.
