This is from one of the inmates who worshiped with Northland at the Seminole County Jail. Thank you so much for your prayers and love for those who are incarcerated and worship with us every weekend!
Dear Friends,
Thank you for posting this! We minister to many of God’s “Jewels” behind prison walls. What a blessing it is; they truly bless us far more than we could ever bless them!
This is a poem that one of our Jewels sent to us, I pray that it blesses you and touches your hearts.
“Somehow He Knew”
I was lost in a world of confusion,
with nothing that I could call mine,
but my God knew I needed salvation,
so He came from the ninety and nine.
All the others were safe with the Father,
sheltered from sins hurt and pain,
but Jesus came straight down from Heaven,
to come get me out of the rain.
When He found me I was deep in prison,
somehow He knew that’s where I’d be,
He said He died to pay for my failures,
and He will do each moment with me.
Though I may have to spend life in prison,
I’ll never see one day in hell,
for I’ve given my whole life to Jesus,
and He lives with me here in my cell.
