We are privileged to live in one of Florida’s most beautiful, prosperous, and forward thinking communities. But when it comes to serving the needs of our ever-growing homeless population, the prevailing Seminole County attitude continues to be: “not in my back yard.” It’s time for local government, law enforcement, businesses, churches, and especially Seminole County residents to commit to working together to help our homeless neighbors...

More than 50 faithful followers of Jesus Christ attended Celebrate Recovery this week. Of those, there were three newcomers. Celebrate Recovery is all about the newcomer because as we all know, taking that first step on the road to recovery is the most difficult. This week's message was "Hope, Principle 2—Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover." The Bible says, "Happy are those who mourn for they shall be comforted” (Matthew 5:4). Simply put, my life without...

The epic battle continued on the football field at our annual Turkey Bowl. The flag football game did not disappoint for some, but crushed the hopes of others. Though there were fantastic catches and interceptions from both teams, the game was owned and decided by the girls this year. The females from both teams displayed unbelievable athletic ability. They were the game changers. When all the dust settled, the Freshmen/Senior team defeated the Sophomore/Junior team14 to 0. MVP's for this year were- Stephanie Fickas and Maclain Bossfor the Sophomore/Junior team,...

Summer is here! The weekend of June 6-8 is a big weekend in Children’s Ministries, as it is Promotion Weekend. It is time for the children to move up to the next grade level. Although many of our children will transition with little or no anxiety, some may have a hard time with change. To help with this transition we suggest that you talk with your child about some things that they can expect in their new classroom. We will do everything possible to make the transition smooth. If you...

We collected boxes and boxes of craft and game supplies for the children in Egypt. Our children’s offering for the month of February was designated to help purchase more supplies as well. The offering totaled $1,287.19. That is amazing! The children across the world who are less fortunate than us here in the United States will be so grateful. Thank you for sharing with children across the world. Many Blessings, Debbie Blahnik- Director of Children’s Ministries, Longwood

And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this...
