WELCOME

At Northland we always open our worship services by saying, "Thank you for bringing the church into these rooms." Why? Because Northland is a church distributed, worshiping in Longwood, Mount Dora, Oviedo, West Oaks, and at more than 1,000 sites worldwide via the Web. In other words, it isn't the physical structure or the many programs that make up the church ... it's people like you! You are the church. And here, you'll find tools that will help you to be the church wherever you are.

BELONG

We all need to belong—somewhere and to someone. The need to belong is so strong it would more accurately be called a longing. Have you ever wondered where that longing comes from? Our deepest need to belong will only be filled when we belong to Christ and give our lives, just as He did, in service to Him and to others.

BELIEVE

We believe that everything we see, and all that we cannot see, in the world around us was created by God Himself—spoken into existence. We worship who God is and what He has done, and realize our own identity as His children.

BECOME

We don’t have to stop with just knowing about Him. We can know Him, and be known by Him. The more we grow in relationship to Him, the more we grow in likeness to Him.

BE SENT

Being a servant is not something you do. It is something you are. Serve the people God puts in front of you today. You don’t even have to leave your home or office.

A Special Welcome
From Vernon Rainwater

Vernon leads us in worship when we gather together for church “in these rooms.” A native of Wilmore, KY, Vernon has been a part of the worship leadership at Northland for 20 years.  While distributed ministry and worship are the two primary areas of his focus, his desire is to motivate each generation to live a life of worship everywhere, every day. Vernon has been a musician since he was 17, but he has worked in social work, law enforcement and served in the military as well. With an undergraduate…

Church Life

As a Christian faith community, there are sacraments and practices which we share at Northland which are common to faith communities around the world. One experience that our congregation participates in is HOLY COMMUNION (also known as the Lord’s Supper or Eucharist). It is one of two ordinances instituted by Jesus to be observed by the church as a sign…
